I do love to add a little bit of extra love to a group get-together with customised cocktail menus. Its such a great idea for birthdays and hen parties. I just ring up the venue in advance to get a copy of the cocktails they have on offer and print out a few of my own to take with me. Just always remember to add the real name of the cocktail to the menu as I’m sure things could get confusing for the bar staff :)

FarneyHouse worked on the music visuals for Elephants Spirit Store gig – we wanted something bright and cheery on the surface but something a little more longing and languishing in tone. We choose a bright yellow base for our print and web posters and used it as the main focus on the stage backdrop – we filmed our hand choreography in front of a green screen to get this simple effect.
Our first test attempt was an instant fail as the hand movements were far too ‘chirpy and magician like’ for the tone we wanted to set. See our out takes below.
Elephants upcoming album has been described as a kind of ‘break up album’ and we needed to re asses the feeling we wanted to convey and match it up with the movements – in the end I think we got a strong finished piece from a very simple effect.

Weekend Diaries: a mini trip to The Enniskillien Hotel and Florence Court.
We wanted to visit the Marble Arch caves for awhile now and chose The Enniskillien Hotel as our base. The drive down was great, the hotel was great but unfortunately the weather was awful and the caves were flooded. We made the most of it though, we booked The Enniskillien Hotel whiskey tasting experience and visited Florence Court. I truly recommend both.
I found the whole whiskey presentation very interesting – It was quite casual and easy going so you could really enjoy and take your time. I don’t drink whiskey myself, but there was enough Prosecco cocktails on offer to keep me happy while Stephen smiled over his whiskey selections.
Florence Court was just beautiful, we floated around the walled rose gardens of the 18th century property and had a tour of the main house. The house was amazing, our guide focused on the 1920’s period of the house, the period when the last generation of children were raised. It was a wonderful experience to see the photos, furniture and daily items of this time and hear the full family and house history.
See a few of our pictures and videos below – we will be back.
We took the long way home.
The perfect cold January weekend involves; a living room duvet fort, plenty of tea, snuggly socks, my darlings and great movies. I created an itinerary for our day – A5 double sided card based on The Darjeeling Ltd and The Royal Tenenbaums.
This year the amazingly talented Shane Clarke aka. Elephant, self launched his debut album ‘HyperGiant’ and I was amazingly proud to be apart of it.
Myself and the wonderful Stephen O’Farrell work with Shane to create visual elements to accompany his music, and the album launch for October 2015 was our number one priority.
